The clan members are acutal people who want to war to get lots of loot.  War win bonus is a lot of coins and elixer that you win once you make a good attack. Clans can also donate to you troops that can defend your base or you can deploy during battle. In order to get a clan you must first rebuild your clan castle. The more you upgrade it the more the clan castle holds.
